ISLAMABAD: Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Naveed Qamar on Tuesday urged the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) to improve performance and ensure power generation in accordance with its capacity.

He was responding to a call attention notice issued in the National Assembly regarding increase in electricity tariff by the company. The minister said KESC had no authority to determine the tariff and it was the responsibility of National Electric Power Regulatory Authority.
