KARACHI: A seven-wicket haul by 17-year-old Ghulam Mudassar helped Karachi Whites defeat FATA by 92 runs in their round seven fixture of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy at UBL Sports Complex Ground in Karachi yesterday.

Chasing 213, FATA resumed their second innings on 4-0 but were restricted to 120 runs in 38.5 overs as left-arm pacer Mudassar took seven wickets for just 52 runs. The remaining three wickets were taken by Tabish Khan, who had claimed seven scalps in the first innings to finish with 10 for the match.

“I just kept my focus on line and length,” Mudassar told The Express Tribune. “FATA is a strong team and target was also low, but I wanted to win the match for my team very badly.”
