ISLAMABAD: The outgoing president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has said although the Panama leaks issue is important, it should not take precedence over the situation in Occupied Kashmir where blatant human rights violations are taking place.

“Although the matter of Panama leaks is important, the issue of Kashmir must not be forgotten,” said Barrister Syed Ali Zafar, who headed a delegation of the Kashmir Committee that met AJK President Mohammad Masood Khan, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider as well as bar associations.

Zafar hailed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) of Kashmir and said this was the first time that a consensus document over rights violations in IOK had been agreed upon by the government, political parties, AJK civil society and lawyers of Pakistan.
