The talented writer and actor takes us through a day on the super-fun sets of Lahore Se Aagey — find out who takes the longest to get ready and what these celebrities are snacking on in their free time as Yasir Hussain shares it all!

6am:

We wake up at 6am, and find two make-up artists sitting outside, one outside Saba’s room and one outside mine. On the sets of Lahore Se Aagey, Behroze sahib takes the most time to get ready! I spot Rubina jee’s artist, getting her ready as well.

8:30am:

It’s now time for breakfast and Behroze sahib’s make-up still continues…even on the breakfast table. There is only half an hour left till we start shooting.

9:30am:

After a half an hour walk to the location of the set, we are finally about to start shooting the running scene.

12pm:

We have our lunch around midday and are served the most delicious tikkas on the sets of Lahore Se Aagey. But right after our meal, it’s time to get back to work. As per the script, Saba and I are in majority of the scenes, but there are others actors who are also part of the movie, who are on set with us as well. If Behroze sahib or Rubina jee are in a particular sequence, they obviously get priority to shoot first as they are our seniors.

5pm:

After shooting for hours, we can finally take a break and gulp down some refreshments to refuel our energy. You can find an assortment of biscuits, chips, tea, cutlets, and chicken and cheese sandwiches on this set. The food is served wholeheartedly, with no stinginess. A special thanks to the production team, they have truly been great.

6pm:

We get back to shooting and begin wrapping up. The day scenes usually wrap up by 6pm but the night scenes can go on till 8pm or so.

8pm:

We go back to the hotel and we all ‘sleep’ early as per order. However, I watch TV…then other people come over and join me and we all watch TV together. Then we have another round of TV. We pass the TV around and take turns. Pakistan has great TV channels I must say! We get really hungry watching TV…if you know what I mean.

11pm:

We are still watching TV…

1am:

Now that we’ve watched TV, it’s snack time. We munch and munch and munch some more.

2am:

It’s finally time to close my eyes! But as soon as I close my eyes, someone wakes me up. It’s the make-up artists…back to the grind.
