Attack on polio workers: Mastermind killed in IBO

PESHAWAR: Security officials said that the mastermind behind the attacks on polio workers was killed in intelligence based operation conducted in Khyber Agency. Official sources said that Noor Muhammad who was affiliated with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had recently gunned down a polio vaccinator Fazal Ameen in Jamrud tehsil on October 26.  Acting on a tip-off the security officials launched an operation in the areas surrounding Ghundai, Khyber Agency, where they killed the militant commander. Muhammad was said to be associated with the Ababil group— a TTP faction operative in Khyber Agency. There were three other suspected militants who are believed to be facilitators, said the official. They were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
