LAHORE: A senior citizen has gone to court seeking a case against four people who have accused him of raping a teenage maid.

In a petition submitted in a district & sessions court, Muhammad Amin, 60, has stated he had been working as a servant at a house and often worked for the neighbours as well whenever they requested him to do so.

A few weeks ago, the man said, his neighbour Faisal called him to his house for some work and then held him hostage in a room for several hours. Another man named Nazir Ahmed along with two other unidentified men also came there and ordered him to marry the house maid, who had become pregnant possibly by one of the accused.

Amin refused to obey their orders, claiming the girl was like a daughter to him, after which he was tortured and threatened with dire consequences.

The petitioner said the accused forced him to sign a written statement and recorded a video of him reading it out. They also demanded Rs20,000 from him allegedly for aborting the girl’s pregnancy.

Amin later arranged the money, after which Faisal released him.

Talking to The Express Tribune, petitioner’s counsel Rai Shaukat Ali said doctors had confirmed Amin was impotent.

He said police had submitted comments on the petition, claiming Amin had not visited the police station to register the FIR against the named suspects.

The court has fixed the next date for arguments.
