MULTAN: The Solid Waste Management Company is all set to ensure cleanliness with the appointment of a new chairman.

MPA Rana Ijaz Noon, nominated by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, has been appointed as the head of the solid waste management company by the consensus of board of directors, which also formed six special committees for the management of company matters.

The newly appointed chairman has said all efforts would be utilised to ensure cleanliness in Multan city. The entire machinery would be used and enough staff would be appointed to overcome the shortage of staff.

Multan is the city of saints and thousands of devotees visit this city to pay homage to the saints. “We should make this city an example of cleanliness for the people coming from inside and outside the country,” he added.
