Gen Ijaz cleared on BB murder probe

ISLAMABAD: The former chief of the Military Intelligence Major General Nadeem Ijaz, has been cleared by the ‘Fact-Finding Committee’ probing the washing down of Benazir Bhutto' murder site.

The three member team completed its investigations and the findings have been sent to the President House. The team was constituted by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and headed by Cabinet Secretary Abdul Rauf Chaudhry.

The team recorded the statement of ex-CPO Saud Aziz,who said that the police took the decision to hose down the crime site on its own accord.

In his statement, he said that no such orders were given by the government, military or intelligence officials.
