ISLAMABAD: There is a need for across the board accountability to ensure transparency and good governance, said Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani.

He was speaking as chief guest at the ICMA Pakistan’s students convocation, according to a press release. Rabbani underscored that the only panacea to the ills of the country lies in the continuity of the system.

He pointed out that Pakistan has lacked transparency since its inception especially in the ruling elite. Rabbani added that the ruling elite have been responsible for creating hurdles in the way of transparency and across the board accountability.

The Senate chairman appreciated the passing out graduates on completion of their CMA certification, and hoped that they would endeavor in their practical life not only to become better professionals but also good citizens.
