Post mortem report confirms woman killed by in-laws

The post mortem report of a woman confirms that she was tortured.

MUZAFFARGARH: The post mortem report of a woman, who was allegedly strangled by her husband and father-in-law has confirmed that she was tortured. Police officials have arrested the accused in this regard.

Qasba Karmdar resident Muhammad Iqbal told police officials that his daughter Nosheen’s father-in-law Allah Vadhya personally called him and told him that his daughter had committed suicide. “They told me she had hung herself because she was guilty of having been unfaithful to her husband,” Iqbal said, adding “This was a complete lie. They murdered her.” Iqbal said that he immediately told the police and Nosheen’s body was sent to the DHQ Hospital for a post mortem. The recently released post-mortem report confirms that Nosheen was tortured and the police have taken both Vadhya and his son Muhammad Sharif into custody. Police said that the men would be presented before the court within the week.
