Stern Action: Crackdown against fake drugs ordered

BAHAWALPUR: The drugs control authority should play an active role and take action against those involved in the business of selling counterfeit and prohibited medicines in the district. These views were expressed by District Coordination Officer Zafar Iqbal during a meeting with drug control officials on Wednesday. He said in the first phase of the operation, the officials should take action against the responsible persons without discrimination. He also directed the drug control inspectors to make their intelligence network more effective. He added stern action should also be taken against quacks and assistance should be taken from security forces if needed.
