Northern Bypass construction underway

The Federal Minister for Communications announced that construction work on the Rs12b Northern Bypass has started.

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister for Communications Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan announced on Monday that construction work on the Rs12 Billion Northern Bypass has started. He said that after the construction of the Northern Bypass, due within a year, a new economic revolution will take place and it will also resolve traffic issues in Peshawar.

He said the multi-level flyover would resolve the traffic issues of Peshawar and this project would be completed in one year. He added that the Ministry of Communications has released Rs1.8 million for the construction of two underpasses in Peshawar.

The Prime Minister has released Rs10 million for the construction of a flyover on Phase III Chowk in Hayatabad.

The minister also said that Rs1.7 million were released for the construction of a road from Hayatabad to Karkhano Chowk.
