American singer and actress Lindsay Lohan visited Syrian refugees at an Istanbul hospital and the home of a refugee family from Aleppo.

During her visit, Lohan reportedly said, "The world is bigger than five." The phrase is often used by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to highlight the unequal distribution of power and unfair representation at the United Nations Security Council.

The Hollywood actor visited the family of four in Sultanbeyli district with Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Abdurrahim Boynukalın, Daily Sabah reported.

Turkey has become the home to almost half of the 4.2 million displaced Syrians over the past three years. It has contributed
almost $9 billion to humanitarian aid during the ongoing Syrian crisis, that is 20 times more than the aid received from international organizations, according to the Prime Ministry Disaster & Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
