A three-day science exhibition by The Dawood Foundation ended on Sunday with a hope that educational institutes would incorporate more practical implications in their teaching methods while public and private sector will work together to promote science education.

The Magnifi-Science exhibition witnessed a large crowd from all walks of life, including thousands of students, politicians, celebrities, scientists, educationists and environmentalists over the weekend. Students and science enthusiasts came from as far as Petaro and Dadu districts of Sindh.

Pakistan Peoples Party MNA Shazia Marri, who was among the attendees on Sunday, said, "Despite being a need of the hour, exhibitions such as this are rare in Pakistan. It was wonderful to see thousands of students, teachers and visitors expressing interest in technology, basic sciences and the environment."

Sharing her views, former culture adviser to the Sindh chief minister, MPA Sharmila Farooqui, said "good quality education is fundamental for the growth of any nation, therefore, it is imperative that we focus on strengthening the bases of our students in science through initiatives like Magnifi-Science."

In a concluding speech, the foundation's chairperson, Hussain Dawood, said the government and private sector equally participated for the success of this venture. "Our nation can excel provided we give people appropriate platforms," he said.
