YouTube now allows Pakistani users to download videos

Video sharing app YouTube has added an offline feature to its website that allows users in Pakistan to download videos which they can watch when offline.

The feature had been available for use to a select group of countries and YouTube has finally made it available in Pakistan.

To download a video all users need to do is click the download icon featured at the bottom of each video. Users can also choose between video qualities for offline playback. The feature is available now for both iOS and Android devices.

Video playback however is limited to 48 hours after which the video has to be downloaded once again. Furthermore, you must be signed in to use the offline playback feature.

Offline downloading is available for most but not all videos on the website. Videos that aren’t available for offline playback will have the 'Offline' button appear as disabled.

YouTube has lately been showing an interest in the Pakistani market with the website's latest announcement allowing Pakistani content creators to monetise their videos and a launch event in Karachi also planned for next week.
