Domestic Abuse: Woman severely tortured ‘by in-laws’

A woman was tortured and her head shaven allegedly by her in-laws in Samanabad on Friday. Police said Sanobar Bibi in her complaint alleged that her in-laws had brutally tortured her over a minor issue. The complainant accused the in-laws of beating her with rods and sticks, scalding her with boiling water and shaving her head. Police have registered a case (498/16) under sections 337-B, 342 and 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code against suspect named Mehak and other family members.
