Voice of dissent: Govt criticised for compromising on accountability
Murtaza was shot dead by police in 1996 outside his home in Karachi. His sister Benazir Bhutto was prime minister at the time. The event precipitated the fall of her government. In 2008, his brother-in-law Asif Zardari was acquitted of ordering the murder.
