MULTAN: “The provincial government should make public statistics of the number of people injured in train accidents over the last two years,” said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shahmood Qureshi.
Talking to The Express Tribune during a visit of the hospital where the injured were taken, Qureshi said, “The findings of inquiries should be made public if the government wants to win the trust of people.”
The PTI leader also praised the government’s efforts for relief of the injured. “The way the provincial government dealt with the situation was magnificent.”
“Normally, the government ignores the families of victims. This time, they were paid compensation and were reassured of full government support.”
