ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE)’s Director Schools Sadia Adnan has said that work on the timescale was under way and teachers will soon get promotions.

“Serving the teachers and sorting out their problems is my top priority and I will leave no stone unturned in this regard,” she said, while talking to Daily Express.

The official said that annual confidential reports (ACRs) of the teachers had been collected and a meeting of the departmental promotion committee would soon be convened to offer promotions under the time scale.

Adnan said that she had served as principal for 10 years and she was aware of the problems being faced by the teachers.

“Whatsoever problems the teachers are facing will be sorted out on a priority basis,” she said, urging the teachers to show full commitment to their profession and improve performance.

Adnan said that teaching was a sacred profession and the teachers should consider themselves as missionaries instead of thinking as government employees.

“The teachers should deliver to the best of their abilities to take the society and the country forward,” she said.

Adnan has recently been given the position of director schools by the CADD.
