ISLAMABAD: Light to moderate intermittent showers are expected in the upper parts of the country during the coming week. The month, however, will continue to remain hot and humid.

Director General Pakistan Meteorological Department Dr Ghulam Rasul told The Express Tribune that the showers will turn the hot and humid weather pleasant.

He added that dust and thunderstorms coupled with light to moderate rain is expected during the Eid holidays. It will not be a continuous spell, though, as only isolated rain is expected on all the three days.

“Currently the amount of moisture in the air is high due to which the weather has become really irritating. However these showers will help bring down the temperature as well as reduce the amount of humidity in the air,” he said.
