LAHORE: Lahore High Court on Wednesday sought a reply from the provincial government on a petition claiming violation of rules in the bidding for award of contract of Ujala solar solutions for schools. Captain (r) Ijaz Ahmad filed the petition on behalf of Sun Smart Company which had also applied for the contract.

Azhar Siddique, counsel for the petitioner, said the government had been violating rules to facilitate Chinese companies. He said the companies accommodated by the government were blacklisted in several countries. Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh sought a reply from the government by September 29.
