Robbers shoot defiant victim

MULTAN: Robbers shot and injured a man when he put up resistance during a robbery in Shujabad on Wednesday.

According to police, a man was on his way home in Dhondoka when three robbers intercepted him. When the robbers tried to deprive him of cash and valuables, he put up resistance. One of the robbers shot him.

Other villages reached the crime scene soon and caught one of the robbers who was later identified as Asif. They handed him over to police. Cantonment police have registered a case against Asif and his accomplices. The injured was taken to Nishtar Hospital.

In other incidents, two robbers took away Rs100,000 and a mobile phone from Dr Ehsan. Robbers deprived Shakeel of his car in the Gulgasht area.
