KARACHI: The anti-terrorism courts’ (ATC) administrative judge referred on Monday the Baldia factory fire case to an ATC for conducting the trial. The administrative judge sent the case to ATC-II after accepting the supplementary charge sheet which states that the fire incident was an arson attack by people belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). Only two people, former MQM local leader Hammad Siddiqi and Rehman alias Bhola, have been nominated as suspects in the case while more than 13, including the factory owners, have been given a clean chit. The report, made in light of the recent joint investigation team’s findings in the case, landed before the ATC administrative judge on August 23.
