SWABI: The government will soon establish an engineering university and postgraduate college in Tarbela while the children of all Wapda employees will be entitled to education at these institutions.

This was stated by the newly-appointed chairperson of the power utility, Lieutenant General (retd) Muzammil Hussain, as he visited the powerhouse in Tarbela on Friday.

He said the government has provided all available resources to eliminate load-shedding in the country.

“The problem will soon be history,” he said. “Four projects will be complete in due time and China has all possible cooperation in new power schemes for the country.”

He visited the new extension project at Tarbela Dam and announced Eid bonuses for employees. He added the workers would obtain more financial benefits if they delivered results and ensured the elimination of line losses in K-P.
