The rally was taken out from Central Press Club to Gharipan Chowk to condemn the beating of women during the protest demonstration in Indian administered Kashmir. The protesters were carrying banners inscribed with slogans such as, ‘go India, go back,’ ‘where is UN and shame for UN.’

On the occasion, women rights activist Idreesa Butt said “Indian Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi must keep it in mind that Kashmiris neither need economic package nor jobs, they demand only freedom from New Delhi rule,” she added.

The women speakers urged Islamabad to adopt proactive diplomatic approach to expose Indian state terrorism in Kashmir. “Indian forces are trying to break the will of Kashmiris who are demanding freedom,” said one of the women while addressing the rally participants.
