The Co-founder, Chief Operations Officer and Training Programme Director at AimFit Studios, takes us through her healthful day. The entrepreneur and fitness junkie, talks about her delicious (and wholesome) breakfast, teaching DanceFit, YogaFlow and LIFT at AimFit, snuggling in bed with a good book, and following a special, ‘golden rule’ — something we should all take lesson from

7am: I am not a morning person at all! Even though workouts give the best result in the morning, and yoga feels amazing, I am usually sound asleep. Occasionally, I wake up for an early morning training session at AimFit.

8am: My ‘bomb siren’ alarm is set to go off. Plus about four other alarms to ensure I actually wake up.

9am: Time for my favourite meal of the day! Breakfast is a piece of fruit if I am teaching a morning session, otherwise a protein packed meal of five egg whites, spinach, feta cheese, mushrooms and olives.

10am: I reach the studio around this time. Most days of the week I have a morning Yoga or LIFT class. It’s great strength training to start your day with!

11am: The daily grind of work starts at the office. Depending on what is currently in the pipeline, I visit either the DHA or Garden Studio gym and get down to emails and meetings.

1pm: Lunchtime, which is either pre-packed, or if I am close by, I have it at home. I am a huge fan of ghar ka khana. Four years abroad were enough to convert me!

2pm: Back at the office preparing for another few hours of work.

3pm: If I am free I attend some of the classes that are running. I love watching the children’s programs! They are absolutely adorable. At AimFit, we believe in starting young.

4pm: Any outstanding meetings get tied up around this time. If I am free I start preparing for my evening class by learning new moves, and finding new music.

5pm: This is usually when I teach my daily AimFit class, which is a cardio DanceFit class, a strength LIFT class or a flexibility YogaFlow class. Since I am free of all my work stresses, this is my favourite time of the day to workout.

6pm: I grab a protein shake and hang around at the studio to talk to clients and instructors.

7pm: I hang out with my co-workers at AimFit. It feels strange to even call them co-workers, they are more like family and school friends. I pop into a class or just sit outside and have a great time laughing off the endorphins.

8pm: Ready to go home and call it a day!

9pm: Dinnertime with my parents and siblings. We are a close family and we love to cosy up in a room and catch up. I live with my grandparents so this is the time I cuddle with them and share my day.

10pm: I brainstorm and research some ideas for AimFit or other projects I want to start with my father, mother and sister. My father being a businessman is a treasure trove of expertise and practical advice.

11pm: I am a huge bookworm and my absolute favourite thing to do is to curl up in bed with a thick book. These days it’s David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell. I follow Bill Gates’ advice to read for at least an hour a day to mature intellectually.

12am: Ready for eight hours of sleep! An absolute must for me to ensure peak productivity, quick muscle recovery and high energy levels. My golden rule is: eat, sleep, workout, repeat.
