MQM lawmaker Irum Farooque quits party

The MPA also resigns from Sindh Assembly

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Irum Azeem Farooque has resigned from her party membership, as well as the member of Sindh Assembly.

“Today I resign. Already did it two days ago but didn't disclosed because of the hunger strike,” she announced on Twitter Monday.

"After watching the videos I feel very embarrassed.”



Karachi on edge as 'MQM workers' storm ARY News office

The development came after violent protests by MQM workers and supporters in Karachi. At least one person was killed and several others injured as protesters stormed ARY News office for not providing the party with ‘due media coverage’.

We need to live with mqm and I'm not even of the same cultural heritage as the majority of mqm supporters. Also do away with the term muhajir it's offensive. Let these Pakistanis clean up their own violent factions. No one else can do it.
