The Pakistan Test team, under the leadership of Misbahul Haq, are set to become the number one Test side in the ICC rankings for the first time since the official ranking system was introduced 13 years ago in 2003.

India, who are currently the best team in the world in the longest format of the game, had to win the current four-match on-going Test series against West Indies atleast 3-0 in order to cement their position at the top.

However, leading 2-0 after the first three Tests, Virat Kohli’s men were seemingly left frustrated with the bad weather in Port-of-Spain, where rain nearly washed out four of the five days, which means it is practically impossible for the current Indian side to bowl out the opposition twice in the day.

Knowing the imminent will eventually happen, Pakistan cricket team fans from all over the world took to Twitter to express their feelings, as they can’t wait to see their team on top of the rankings, especially knowing the fact that the current Test side is yet to play a match at home in nearly seven years.

    Khamoshi bata rahi hai k kitna maza araha hai, no domestic infrastructure, no International cricket at home ground yet No. 1 out 20 crore or so, whereas India with 1.3 billion population and domestic structure could get what it should. this is called No.1 when everything is against u.Recommend

    @Hyder— We actually will enjoy more if Pakistan stands up on its own feet, and stop asking for alms from the world. ! Sport is ok but real deal is economy where Pakistan is way behind ! Hope you compete with Indian on that point too. Anyways congo ! .Recommend

    Rightly said, these people cannot achieve anything by themselves but depend upon others similar to Cricket World Cup when rain played lucky for them. This time too rain is the reason. Recommend

    @Hassan:
    Barish wajah hai, team ki koi mehnat nahin. Cricket world cup bhi barish ki wajah se aaya hai aur ab yeh ranking bhi barish ki wajah se. Kab tak doosron par depend rahoge, khud ke mehnat se upar aavo aur phir zaban hilavo jitna chahe. Recommend
