Bogus cheques: Three booked for cheque fraud 

Golra police have booked two men for allegedly defrauding a man of his car

ISLAMABAD: Shalimar police have booked three persons for allegedly issuing bogus cheques in three different cases.

Jahangir Mehmood told the police that Fateh Muhammad gave him three cheques for Rs2.98 million to pay house rent but they were dishonoured by the bank due to insufficient funds in the issuer’s account.

Similarly, Tahir Iqbal has been booked for issuing a bogus cheque for Rs700,000 to Sheikh Muhammad Ahsan, while Abid Majeed was booked for handing over a bogus cheque for Rs220,000 to Babar Mehmood. Separate cases have been registered against the suspects.

Meanwhile, Golra police have booked two men for allegedly defrauding a man of his car.

Taj Farosh told the police that Abdullah and Saadat borrowed his car but were now not returning it. Police have registered a case against the suspects and launched an investigation.
