BATKHELA: Pakistan Peoples Party workers have accused the provincial organising committee of ignoring the party’s real workers during the committee meeting in Batkhela.

They were addressing a news conference in Batkhela, Malakand.

“If they fail to listen to our concerns, we will meet PPP Co-chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to convey our grievances,” said Ghufran Ahad, a former district nazim of the party.

The provincial organising committee was appointed by Bilawal to bring reforms in the party. The organising committee is currently visiting Malakand Division to meet with party workers and present recommendations to Bilawal. The chairperson will conduct intra-party elections on the basis of these recommendations.

“The organising committee has not given attention to its workers,” Ghufran said. “The party was not able to secure success in local government and general elections due to this attitude by its senior political leadership.”  The procedure devised by party chairperson recommends data should be collected from real workers. However, the organising committee has asked members of their choosing to fill the forms.
