Tribal elders have decided to relinquish their responsibilities after the government decided to merge the Frontier Regions into the settled districts of K-P.
“Tribal elders have decided to relinquish responsibilities to protest against the decision,” said Malik Taj Muhammad, a tribal elder.
Malik Niaz Wali, another elder, said the integration of FR regions into the settled areas of K-P will create problems. “We want to maintain the status quo,” Wali said.
