MULTAN: The district administration of Sahiwal has ordered provision of domicile certificates to residents of the district at tehsil level.

District Coordination Officer Shaukat Ali said the step had been taken to facilitate citizens. The DCO said a centre had been set up in Fareed Town from where residents of nearby areas could get their domicile certificates. Ali said earlier, people had had to visit the DCO’s office in Sahiwal for this purpose.  He said the district administration had received hundreds of requests from citizens in this regard. “The service centre was a pressing demand of the public which has been met.”  Mudassir Manzoor, in charge of the centre, said citizens could get their learners’ permit for driving, domicile certificate and police character certificate from the centre.
