BAHAWALPUR: The Islamia University Bahawalpur’s Examination Department has announced results of the first annual examination of BA, BSc and BCom. The results were announced online.

As many as 10,104 students appeared in BA exams and 4,285 students passed bringing the pass percentage to 42.41 per cent.  The first position went to Fatima Idrees of Madina Colony, Chak 5-DNB, Head Rajkaan, Yazman tehsil. She has scored 675 marks out of 800. The second position went to Maria Sehrish of Government Degree College for Women, Dubai Mahal Road, Bahawalpur, and Muhammad Sajid of Government Post Graduate College, Bahawalnagar. They scored 672 marks each. Mehnaz Shaukat of Government College for Women, Khairpur Tamewali, stood third position with 666 marks.As many as 11,084 students appeared in the BSc Examination and 5,808 students passed (52.40 per cent). The first position went to Asma Younis of Government Post Graduate College for Women, Bahawalnagar, who scored 754 marks out of 800. The second position went to Muhammad Usama Javed of Government Post Graduate College, Chistian, who scored 740 marks. The third position went to Uzma Bilal of Government Degree College for Women, Satellite Town, Bahawalpur, who scored 731 marks.

As many as 852 candidates appeared in the BCom Examination and 421 students passed (49.41 per cent). Muhammad Fahim of the Government College of Commerce, Bahawalpur, stood first with 1,185 marks out of 1,500. Iqra Akhtar of Government Post Graduate College, Bahawalpur, stood second with 1,183 marks. Saira Shafiq of the Punjab College of Commerce, Rahim Yar Khan, stood third with 1,181 marks.

Vice Chancellor Qaisar Mushtaq congratulated the students on their success.
