Bounced cheque: Punjab Feeds seeks cheque fraud case

Bounced cheque: Punjab Feeds seeks cheque fraud case

Our Correspondent August 16, 2016

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday sought comments from the Ghalib Market SHO on a petition filed by the manager of Punjab Feeds Limited. He claimed that the SHO had refused to register a case against a defaulting client who had given him a bogus cheque for Rs5,191,000. Petitioner Dr Shahid Siddique told the court that Abid Hussain, a client, had obtained feeds on credit and had promised to pay for it in a few weeks. Siddique said that Hussain had later started delaying the payment and finally gave him a cheque several weeks after the due date. That cheque had bounced, the petitioner said. He requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against Hussain.
