MUMBAI: According to Bollywood beauty Ileana D’Cruz, true freedom will only come when everyone will be completely free to express whatever they want to, without others taking offence over it.

Asked what freedom meant to her, Ileana said, “I will consider myself completely free when I get to say what I want to say without people taking it as a personal attack.”

The actor – who is currently basking in the appreciation coming to her for her work in Rustom – added, “I would like to put my view across and I have been doing that to a certain extent on Instagram. But there have been quite a few people who hate me for it.”

Ileana shared that she doesn’t want to disrespect anyone but simply wishes to put her view forward.

“I just want to say I don’t disrespect anyone but this is my opinion. I believe in equality and I would like to do that without causing any ruckus between anyone,” she stated.

Rustom – Ileana’s sixth mainstream Bollywood outing – also stars Akshay Kumar and Esha Gupta. It opened on August 12 in Pakistan. The plot of the story is loosely inspired from the famous Kawas Nanavati case that took place in the 60s.

Kawas was an Indian naval officer who was tried in court for the murder of his wife’s lover, Prem Ahuja.
