Administration: DCO demands reports on major issues
DERA GHAZI KHAN:
DCO Nadeemur Rehman has written to district officers requesting them to file reports on the unavailability of medicines at public hospitals, a poor sewerage network and heaps of garbage piled in various localities in the district. The DCO has demanded an explanation and suggestions for improving the sewerage system in Block 17, Leghari Colony, in Balakh Serwer, Akram Abad, Faridabad, Gadai, Nasirabad and Rukanabad. The letter also mentions an increase in the number of stray dogs prowling in Tahliwala, Lorry Adda, Mullah Quaid Shah and in various graveyards. The DCO has asked for an explanation of why inferior quality material was used in constructing the Suri Lund torrent. He has mentioned rampant corruption by TMA employees and unexplained absences from work as major issues that need to be addressed. The letter raises the issue of unavailability of certain lifesaving drugs and films for CT scans at public hospitals.
