PESHAWAR: The Peshawar district administration imposed Section 144 in the city on Monday for Independence Day, banning motorbikes without silencers. A handout issued by the deputy commissioner’s office stated SSP operations suggested a ban on the plying of motorcycles without silencers and wheeling to avoid any
mishap on August 14. The notification added Section 144 will be imposed for 10 days starting August 10 across the city. It read those found violating laws will be dealt with under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
