KOHAT: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz took to the street over the decision to transfer an oil refinery from Kohat to Karak. They blocked Indus Highway for all forms of traffic on Sunday. The decision to open the refinery was first proposed in Kohat. However, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak signed an agreement with Frontier Works Organisation to establish the refinery in Karak. The move was vehemently opposed by PML-N and JUI-F. During the protest, participants shouted slogans against the provincial government and the chief minister for setting up the refinery to Karak. They threatened to continue protesting if the decision was not withdrawn.
