PPP candidature: Karamullah Waqasi, Pasha Kazi nominated for mayoral elections 

He said the party has given the slot of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation mayor to Pasha Kazi

KARACHI: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has nominated Karamullah Waqasi for the position of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) mayor. The elections are scheduled to be held on August 24.

Parliamentary affairs minister Nisar Khuhro announced this at a press conference on Friday. Announcing the district-wise details, he said the party has given the slot of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation mayor to Pasha Kazi.  In East district municipal corporation (DMC) of Karachi, the party has nominated Zulfiqar Qaimkhani as chairman. Salman Abdullah Murad, son of slain MPA Abdullah Murad, had earlier been nominated for the post of district council chairman. Rafif Jat has been given the seat of vice-chairman of district council. Meanwhile, the name of Malik Fayaz has been announced for the chairman of South DMC in Karachi.
