The employees received their salaries on Wednesday but they kept protesting for the fulfilment of their other demands, which included the removal of finance director Tariq Kaleem. The VC has assured that Kaleem will be removed and all of Kuts' demands will be met.
After a meeting with Governor House representatives on Wednesday, Dr Qaiser presided over a meeting with Kuts and employee association's representatives on Thursday. The Sindh Higher Education Commission issued a grant of Rs93 million to the university on August 3, from which the salaries were paid. Kuts president Dr Shakeel Farooqi announced that they will observe a black day on August 9 to protest the university's many financial issues.
