KARACHI: The cyber crime circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Karachi, arrested on Wednesday a suspect for allegedly misusing the social media.

The suspect, identified as Abdul Karim Dahri, was arrested from Nawabshah. A case has been registered against Dahri with FIA.

"The accused recently posted a fake post on Facebook regarding donkey meat being used in Sindhi pulao in Nawabshah," said an investigating officer.

"The accused is a teacher and also unofficially working as journalist to blackmail people to extort money," he added.

The officer said that the complainant approached the FIA, Karachi, stating that the accused blackmailed him of defaming his food joint of Sindhi pulao and asked him for money.

The suspected person had also used abusive language regarding the Sindhi pulao business.

The FIA officials while using technical resources traced and arrested Dahri.
