LAHORE:

Lawyers from Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sahiwal and Dera Ghazi Khan set up a hunger strike camp in front of the office of the Punjab Bar Council (PbBC) on Saturday against Lahore High Court’s decision against the creation of more permanent benches in the province. The protesting lawyers also started a signature campaign in support of their demand for more benches. They also blocked Fane Road for traffic causing inconvenience to the commuters. The protesters said their demand was in accordance with the Constitution. They said the hunger strike camp would continue till the fulfillment of the demand.
