Due to nonpayment of electricity dues, connections of several government offices including CDA headquarters and Lake View Park have been cut, an Iesco spokesman said
He said the CDA owed Iesco around Rs88 million and that electricity will not be restored till dues are cleared.
The spokesman added that its operation against electricity defaulters will continue without any discrimination. CDA Deputy Director Malik Saleem Akhter said that the power dues were a long-running issue and that the civic agency was in talks with Iesco to settle the debt.
Power to the CDA is cut every few months over unpaid bills. Last summer, the building was running on generators for a few weeks.
