At varsities: Efforts under way to improve facilities

PESHAWAR: Efforts are under way to improve facilities at universities across the province to safeguard the needs of students. This was said by Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra. He expressed these views while speaking at a senate meeting of University of Peshawar (UoP) at Governor House on Wednesday. On the occasion, the varsity’s budget for 2016-17 was approved. UoP Vice Chancellor Rasul Jan gave a detailed briefing about the university’s activities. The senate voiced reservation over the constant trend of presenting a deficit budget for the institution. It emphasised the need to cover financial deficiencies and maintain standards of administrative and financial management in all spheres.
