DERA GHAZI KHAN: A male relative of slain social media starlet Qandeel Baloch turned himself in to the police on Monday after suspicions were raised over his possible involvement in Baloch’s murder.

Haq Nawaz surrendered to police in Dera Ghazi Khan and offered himself up for investigation, a senior police official said.

Waseem Baloch, the brother of Qandeel, underwent a polygraph test on Saturday during which he stated that his cousin strangled her to death while he held her arms. Baloch said that he gave her sleeping pills before assisting his cousin in committing the crime.

Baloch was arrested a day after his sister’s body was found in her Multan house on July 16.  Nawaz accused police of harassing his family. He presented himself before the district court of Dera Ghazi Khan with his lawyer Riaz Hussain Khosa and later surrendered to police in the presence of SHO Shah Sardar Din Hayat Khan Dreshak.
