Duo secured victories on day six of the IBSF World 6-Red Championship matches in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt

Pakistan’s Mohammad Bilal and Babar Masih secured victories on day six of the IBSF World 6-Red Championship matches yesterday in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
Bilal beat Iraq’s Ali Jalil Ali 4-2 despite his opponent levelling the match twice. Bilal led the way after winning the first and third frames, with Ali at his heels, but the Pakistani cueist won with overall scores of 45-07, 0-36, 38-12, 19-29, 38-16, 33-02.
Meanwhile, Masih thrashed Egypt’s Karim Elabd 4-0 with a scoreline of 41-39, 50-0 (50), 44-21, 42-23.
Snooker: Bilal, Shehzad beaten 4-1 by Indian team
The remaining group matches of the Pakistan players include Sohail Shehzad taking on Afghanistan’s Mohammad Rais Senzahi and India’s Bharat Sissodia, Asjad Iqbal playing Egypt’s Mohamed Hammouda and Wales’ Keith Thomas.
Masih has a match remaining against India’s Dharminder Lilly.

Both teams from Pakistan have qualified for the last-32 stage of the parallel running IBSF World Team Championship directly on the basis of their good run in the group stages.
