Snooker: Bilal, Shehzad beaten 4-1 by Indian team

Victorious team defeated Pakistan duo by overall scores of 69-01, 49-78, 92-41, 87-31, 71-16

KARACHI: Pakistan (2) consisting of Mohammad Bilal and Sohail Shehzad were beaten 4-1 by Pushpender Singh and Malkeet Singh of India (8) in their third Group B match of the IBSF World Team Championship yesterday in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

The Pakistan duo lost the opening frame tamely before levelling in the second.

The Indians then upped their game and won the next three frames to triumph by overall scores of 69-01, 49-78, 92-41, 87-31, 71-16.

However, Pakistan (2) remain in a strong position as they have already won two matches against Egypt (15) and Egypt (2).

Meanwhile, Asjad Iqbal and Babar Masih’s Pakistan (1) have won two matches in Group C.
