ISLAMABAD: Around 10,000 applications are pending at the Human Rights Cell of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. On average, around 80 to 90 applications are filed before the cell where most of the applications are filed by overseas Pakistanis.

In the last six months, over 14,000 applications were received where people have complained against the mistreatment of the police and injustice by the administration.

The overseas Pakistanis have, mostly, complained about the problems they face in obtaining their National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) and passports.

A number of applications have also been received against different housing societies.
