Pakistan and India’s border security forces will hold DG-level talks to discuss ceasefire violations, infiltration and illegal tunnels being dug along the international border in Lahore this week.

The meeting is set to take place on July 27 and 28 in which senior officials of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) led by its Director General K K Sharma, NDTV reported.

Such high-level talks were last held in September 2015 wherein Pakistan Rangers and BSF discussed the border related matters. The impending meeting comes after delays owing to various bilateral issues faced by both the countries.

The Indian side is expected to talk on smuggling of arms, contraband items and detection of illegal tunnels along the limits of the border.
