Seafood Industry: Chinese company expresses interest

One unit of the company will help create jobs for 4000 to 5000 locals

KARACHI: Shandong Huiyang Group has shown keen interest in investing in fisheries and different sectors of seafood industry in Sindh, according to a Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) press release. The delegation of the Chinese company led by its Chairman Wang Hong called on SBI Chairperson Naheed Memon where it was briefed about the investment opportunities in fish farming, shrimp farming, processing and other related areas along the coastal belt of Sindh. The members of the delegation told the Chairperson SBI that they have gathered the necessary details regarding investment opportunities in fisheries and progress is expected soon. Memon was told that the company wants to invest in Sindh and only one unit of the company will help create jobs for 4000 to 5000 locals. Chinese companies are interested in investing in Pakistan, in view of the CPEC projects.
